After two years of work, the last deliverable before the final in Wuppertal has now been successfully handed in. We celebrated this milestone as a team and are now looking forward to the preparations for Wuppertal!
January 24th 2022
With warm drinks and food, a topping-out ceremony took place on 24 January at the construction site under corona protection conditions. The opening ceremony was attended by the Bavarian Minister of Construction, Kerstin Schreyer, partners and sponsors as well as the levelup team.

Yesterday, our modules arrived at our construction side next to our University, the TH Rosenheim.
Our team leaders had already been waiting curiously for the trucks.
After they arrived, everyone lent a helping hand to get them in place.
January 11th 2022
Since mid-December, we have been prefabricating our wooden modules after almost two years of planning. The modules will then be transported to our construction site at the TH Rosenheim soon, in order to be able to complete our prototype there.
In the prefabrication as well as on our construction site we can count on our student team leaders as well as on experienced students of the TH Rosenheim for active support.

Our levelup student team has not only developed a design, but is now implementing it in the form of a fully functional prototype representing a section of the elevation at a scale of 1:1. Our construction project of the House Demonstration Unit will be realized in the foreseeable future after two years of planning, as already presented last week, on the building site of the former Bogensiedlung in the immediate vicinity of the TH Rosenheim.
November 17th 2021
This week, the construction work for the set-up area of our HDU started. The 900 m² construction site for our competition entry at the Solar Decathlon Europe is being built on the former Bogensiedlung in close proximity to the TH Rosenheim. After two years of planning, our HDU in the Building Challenge is being built here based on sustainable, energy-efficient and socially responsible architecture.

We continue our lecture series. Our scientific director Prof. Dr. Jochen Stopper presented our project participation in the @solardecathlonwuppertal at two events.
Due to the practically oriented and current topic of living space extension, Jochen Stopper showed the respective audience at the '48th Rosenheimer Fenstertag the possibilities and chances of a sustainable living space extension using levelup concept as an example.

Our levelup highlight of the last week: Our visit to the Intersolar Europe, the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry.
At the trade fair, our project manager Andreas Boschert and our student team leader Sebastian Obermaier were expecting not only innovations and new solutions in the fields of photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and solar power plants; but also many nice conversations and exchanges at various forums and congresses

Our team was invited to the second SDE 21/22 team workshop in Wuppertal last week. We used the two days intensively to get to know each other better in the teams, to deepen our know-how and to exchange experiences.

The 18 competition entries of the Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 - Wuppertal in the event location "Alte Glaserei" in Wuppertal are marked by exhibition posters of the participating teams, the model of the 'Design Challenge' in scale 1:100 and the model of the 'Building Challenge/House Demonstration Unit' in scale 1:25.
We are very happy to announce that our entry in the preliminary exhibition is now complete as of yesterday. Nadine Socher personally handed over the 1:25 scale model of our House Demonstration Unit.

Last Thursday the Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 pre-exhibition was opened in the Alte Glaserei in Wuppertal!
In the event location "Alte Glaserei" all 18 competition entries and models of the 'Design Challenge' of the participating teams are exhibited in scale 1:100.

Today was a very special day for our team levelup. During an online event, the slot for our building at the Solar Campus was drawn. We are very excited about our neighbours AURA, FIRSTlife, X4S, coLLab, deeply high and VIRTU/e. We are looking forward to a great event next year in Wuppertal.
